AfriCamps is a boutique glamping chain in South Africa. AfriCamps has beautiful tented camps in some of the most beautiful locations across South Africa, including Stanford, Wellington, Wildneress, the Midlands and Hazyview in the Kruger area. Each location has around 10 tented camps which are fully equipped and sleep up to five people.

AfriCamps Glamping Tents
Each tent has a wooden deck, outside braai, inside fire, self-catering kitchen, lounge and dining area, two queens sized beds and a single bunk bed, an inside shower and toilet and some tents come with a woodfired hot tub. Linen, towels and blankets are provided. There is a small fridge, stove top, microwave and toaster. There is no oven. One bag of firewood is provided for your stay. You can order more through your AfriCamps hosts.

Cost
Tents sleep up to five people but you will pay according to how many people are staying over.
In winter prices start at R1740 for two people per night for the hot tub tents.
They also often have winter specials so keep an eye out for those.

Woodfired Hot Tubs
One of the main reasons I wanted to visit AfriCamps was because of the woodfired hot tubs they have overlooking the most beautiful scenery. Some wood is provided for the tubs to get you started and then anymore you require can be provided by your AfriCamps Host.

Self-Catering
AfriCamps are all self-catering with plenty of kitch equipment. However, AfriCamps also offers delectable locally-sourced breakfast and braai baskets for guests to cook in their fully equipped kitchens or on the braai. Other extra services are also available on request.

We stayed at the Stanford Hills AfriCamps and absolutely loved the breathtaking scenery. We enjoyed a lovely walk in the mountains while the sun shone and were cozy around the indoor fireplace playing games while it rained outside. AfriCamps is the perfect winter weekend getaway.
