Innsbruck is a quaint mountain town in Austria. For our trip it served as merely a stopover town. However, Innsbruck is the capital of Tyrol, a mountainous Austrian region famous for its hiking trails in summer and ski slopes in winter. To check out some of the best hikes in Austria give this blog a read.

Where to stay
We stayed at Lexhof (If you book using this link I get a small commission at no extra cost to you).
We arrived in this town which honestly looked like something out of Hansel and Gretel. The massive mountains were covered in slopes of grass that were dotted with these Alpine style houses. The beauty of this secluded area gave us such a sense of peace and tranquillity and was perfect for a relaxed night away from the big cities.
