Silk Asian Fusion

Silk Asian Fusion is definitely my favourite foodie find over the last year. Located on Heritage Square in town, it is perfect for a special occasion or date night spot. They offer a R285 for 3 tapas special. Everything on the menu is divine but some of my favourites include the teriyaki duck bao, duck croquettes, Korean fried chicken wings and tuna tataki. Their cocktails are also lovely.

Club Kloof

Club Kloof is the new it-girl in town. This Italian-ish restaurant and bar is as trendy as they come. The decor and vibes are on point. The menu vibe is small plates to be shared amongst friends with their popular pizettes. We didn’t love our spinach canneloni but the rest of the food was 8/10. Cocktails are divine! They have Aperitivo o’clock with drinks and snacks specials Tues-Sun 4-6pm and a pizette and carafe of wine lunch special for R145 Tues-Thurs 12-3pm. Bukhara

Bukhara is an absolute foodie institution in Cape Town. This year they celebrate 30 years of Bukhara and are definitely one of the best places in the city for Indian food. Their menu is chock-a-block full of flavour. Our favourites were the pani puri starter, the chicken korma, the shahi paneer and the aloo jeera potatoes. The design of the restaurant is also really cool with a window seperating the kitchen and guest dining area, offering guests a glimpse into the process behind thier meals. They also serve up delicious and unique cocktails. Our favourites were the Masala Old Fashioned and the Pomm Spritz. Browse their menu here and check out my review reel here.

Zuney

Zuney has been critically-acclaimed as the best burger in Cape Town. Located on Kloof Street, Zuney serves up a simple menu of wagyu smash burgers, wagyu dripping fries and sweet potato fries. Their wagyu beef celebrates farm to table sustainability with all their beef coming from a family farm in the Eastern Cape. The burgers are simple but so juicy and delicious and the fries are some of the best I’ve had! Definietly pop in here on your way to a night out (or afterwards- they’re open til 1am) or after a beach sunset mission. Check out their menu here and my review reel here.

Aegir Project, Noordhoek

Aegir Project in Noordhoek is a firm favourite for Luke and I. They serve up some of the finest craft beers in Cape Town, have gorgeous sunset views of the beach and have a ‘that slaps’ menu. Their burgers are all incredible on Hokkaido-style milk buns, freshly baked in-house. My favourites are the Abalobi fish burger and the KFC burger. Their pizzas are Neapolitan-style, sourdough bases with bold and trendy flavours. Luke loved his Salami Hot Pot pizza with hot honey, salami and ricotta.

Definitely pull through for a taste of the laid-back Noordhoek vibe and a crisp craft beer. Check out their menu here and my review reel here.

Oku Franschhoek

Our favourite dishes included the oyster served with pickled ginger, radish, soy, wasabi, puffed rice as well as the Tuna tataki and smoked lamb belly. You can browse the full menu here. The Kaiseki menu is valued at R1150 and you can add a beverage pairing for R900. the pairing is a wonderful experience which includes traditional sake, MCC and beautiful wines from the Franschhoek Valley.
