Innsbruck

Innsbruck is a quaint mountain town in Austria. For our trip it served as merely a stopover town. However, Innsbruck is the capital of Tyrol, a mountainous Austrian region famous for its hiking trails in summer and ski slopes in winter. We had a lovely quiet night in this lazy, sleepy Austrian town. We climbed the steep mountains in our car until we reached 2000m above sea level. The views were stunning and the snow-capped mountains gave a feeling of fairy tales. We found a massive block of ice on the side of the road which Nic delighted in playing with. He threw snowballs until his hands began to freeze.

We arrived in this town which honestly looked like something out of Hansel and Gretel. The massive mountains were covered in slopes of grass that were dotted with these Alpine style houses. The beauty of this secluded area gave us such a sense of peace and tranquillity and was perfect for a relaxed night away from the big cities.
